We’d love to have you be a part of our team!  No matter how much (or how little) time you have, we have a spot for you!  We rely on volunteers to keep our organization going—but volunteering provides you with unique opportunities too.  Here are just some of the benefits you receive when you volunteer:

  • Meet new people and make friends,
  • Improve your communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Gain a clearer understanding of our school structure,
  • Inspire, educate and motivate future generations
  • Get entered into our raffle for a family 4-pack of Disney Tickets!*

Simply go to the PTA’s volunteer portal (you’ll need to create a MSTK account first) to view a list of available opportunities and and sign up. Our volunteer coordinator or the chairperson for the event you signed up for will contact you with more information as the event gets closer.

Do I Need a Volunteer Badge?

Badges and proof of vaccination are required anytime you’re working closely with students (classroom aide, field trip chaperone, ASEP Chaperone, helping in the class or at lunch, etc.). Badges can only be obtained after filing the appropriate paperwork and undergoing the fingerprinting process through WCCUSD’s Community Engagement Office. We recommend beginning early, as it can take several weeks for your application to be approved.

I know you have seen our call for volunteers in the weekly email. Here is a schedule so that you can see the daily break down of volunteer opportunities for reference.

Step 1- If you already have a badge:

-Upload your Vaccination status or a recent (within 72 hours of volunteering) Negative COVID test result at https://www.beamentor.org/linkpages/mentorasp/specialprojects/wccusd/

-Step 2- Pick a Volunteer opportunity that works with your schedule and add your name in a different colorhttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1skofaYJom0JgFbBBhfWZshHhnn1GBBT-kZ2n0Qcfiz8/edit?usp=sharing

-Step 3- Fill out this google form so that the Olinda Front office has all of your information and intent to volunteer on file and accessible:

As always when you arrive to campus, wear your badge and sign in on the visitors list that is outside of the office when you arrive.

If you would like to get badged get all of the info at:

(You will receive a welcome e-mail once you complete the volunteer application and the health questionnaire. (If you do not receive an email, please review your Spam folder)

*All volunteers must have proof of Covid-19 vaccination – After submitting your application to volunteer, you will receive instructions by email to login into your personal dashboard. At your dashboard you are required to upload a copy of your vaccination card* (…Click here for more info)

We appreciate you!!

More info on obtaining your badge can be found on the district website: https://www.wccusd.net/domain/93

Volunteer badges can be re-used year to year, and never expire!
